MICROSOFT has blamed Sony for restraint Fortnite Battle Royale cross-play between Xbox and PS4 gamers.
The gaming hulk slammed its Japanese rival over the pierce that has left fans feeling disappointed.
Fortnite’s creators recently reliable that Xbox and PlayStation gamers won’t be means to play any other after all – despite fan hopes that it would be possible.
Epic Games creatively seemed to advise that cross-play for the multiplayer diversion opposite the two consoles competence be coming, but it now seems that won’t be the case.
Just last week, the game’s creator pronounced it was operative on cross-play for the Xbox One, PS4, PC, and the new Android and iOS mobile versions of Fortnite Battle Royale.
And that matter stays true, but only partially so.
To explain a bit: Xbox One players can play with PC, Mac, and mobile.
PlayStation 4 players can play with PC, Mac, and mobile.

It seems that Xbox One players and PlayStation 4 players will be means to play with other platforms – but not any other.
This unsatisfactory news was suggested by Epic Games’ Nick Chester in a post to Twitter.
He wrote: “To explain a bit: Xbox One players can play with PC, Mac, and mobile.
“PlayStation 4 players can play with PC, Mac, and mobile.”

There’s no technical reason because Xbox and PS4 players wouldn’t be means to play with any other, but it seems like Sony may be at error here.
On Twitter, a user messaged Microsoft’s Head of Xbox Phil Spencer about how they’d like to see Xbox One and PS4 get cross-play.
In response, Phil said: “Me 2.”
And then Epic Games responded by its Fortnite Twitter comment with “We 3”.

Sony has prolonged resisted cross-play for several games, including Rocket League and Minecraft.
But Microsoft may also be tempted to equivocate cross-play for Fortnite, given how the very identical battle royale diversion PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is an Xbox console exclusive.
In any case, Microsoft is really pinning the censure on Sony.
In a statement, a Microsoft orator said: “We’ve worked closely with Nintendo to concede cross-network play between Xbox One and Switch, and the offer to do the same with PlayStation players still holds.
“For any other questions per Fortnite cross-network play between Xbox and PlayStation, greatfully strech out to Epic or Sony directly.”
Epic Games seems very understanding of the thought (unsurprisingly) however.
In a new statement, the company pronounced it was essay for “same gameplay, same map, same content, same weekly updates” opposite gaming platforms.
“We trust this is the future of games. The same diversion on all platforms. Console peculiarity graphics and action,” the company added.
