Brooklyn Nets owners Prokhorov says he’s offered 49% stake

MOSCOW  — Brooklyn Nets owners Mikhail Prokhorov has told Russian media he’s offered a 49 percent interest in a NBA club.

The Russian billionaire announced his goal to sell a minority interest in December, and now says “49 percent of a Brooklyn shares are adult for sale,” in comments reported by R-Sport.

He adds that “currently a routine is going on and we are looking for a buyer.”

Prokhorov took an 80 percent interest in a then-New Jersey Nets in 2010, changed a group to Brooklyn in 2012, and took full tenure in 2015.

Brooklyn went 20-62 this season, that was a misfortune record in a NBA and a third uninterrupted deteriorate next .500.

The Nets final done a playoffs in 2015, losing to a Atlanta Hawks in a initial round.
