California slams brakes on Uber’s self-driving cars

California slammed a brakes on Uber’s self-driving automobile commander program on Wednesday — usually a week after a float pity hulk debuted a record in San Francisco, reports CBS News match Carter Evans. The ride-hailing hulk pulled a swift off a streets of San Francisco following a assembly Wednesday with lawyers from California’s DMV. 

The DMV revoked a registration of 16 Uber self-driving cars observant in a statement: “It was dynamic that a registrations were improperly released for these vehicles since they were not scrupulously noted as exam vehicles.”

“He should not be handling his driverless automobile record on a streets though that permit,” San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee said, referring to Uber CEO Travis Kalanick.

Kalanick’s association publically ignored a state’s week-long ask to lift their self-driving cars from a highway over their disaster to obtain a correct permits.    

Uber steadfastly argued a self-driving cars are not entirely unconstrained since of a participation of a front chair motorist and therefore did not need a permit.

But on Wednesday, Uber caved to state regulators, saying: “We have stopped a self-driving commander in California as a DMV has revoked a registrations for a self-driving cars.
