Man ‘happy to be alive’ after bear attack

Andrew Meunier had been vouchsafing his dog out in Naples, Florida, on Tuesday night when he saw the animal just a few feet away.

The bear, station about one metre tall, was staring him down.

Mr Meunier told WZVN TV: “It was station in front of me and we tried to spin left genuine discerning and get back in the residence and held an uppercut from a brown, or black, bear.”

Mr Meunier, 41, sustained a series of cuts, including a vast one on his face, which after indispensable fours hours of medicine and 41 stitches.

He transient the bear and managed to get back into his residence by the front door.

“I’m just happy to be alive,” he said.

“It could have been a totally opposite story.”

Traps are being set up to locate the bear, internal media reported.

This is suspicion to have been the first bear attack in south Florida given 1970, nonetheless residents nearby Mr Meunier’s home contend they have seen bears going by balderdash bins.
