Professor Hawking’s children, Lucy, Robert and Tim pronounced in a statement: “We are deeply saddened that the beloved father upheld divided today.
“He was a good scientist and an unusual man whose work and bequest will live on for many years.
“His bravery and diligence with his luminosity and humour desirous people opposite the world.
“He once said, ‘It would not be much of a star if it wasn’t home to the people you love.’
“We will skip him forever.”
