A WOMAN who claimed she was being stalked but was really promulgation herself violent content messages has been jailed.
Emily-Jo Banks, 23, told police a man was targeting her in 2015.
She claimed the stalker spied on her in her back garden, sent melancholy texts, pounded her and climbed on to her garage.
Banks, of Folkestone, Kent, was snared when the texts stopped while police were with her.
They found she was logged in to social media as the “man” and sent the texts herself.
She certified perverting the march of probity and got 18 months’ jail at Canterbury climax court. Detective Constable Natasha Russell said: “She has squandered the time of industrious officers.”
