MEGHAN Markle’s TV writer ex is operative on a comedy about a US divorcee who moves to London and marries a prince.
Her ex-husband, American telly executive Trevor Engelson, 40, is pronounced to have been desirous by his own experiences.
But sources contend singer Meghan, 36, will have been left deeply dissapoint by his decision to ridicule her intrigue with Prince Harry.
And they contend she is worried about what the Royal Family will think.
One crony said: “Meghan will find this all very upsetting, given how fiercely private she is of her private life and her past.
“The bargain was that all was cold with Trevor.
“They had their marriage, it didn’t work out and now they were both moving on with their lives.
“But this will be deeply upsetting and worried meaningful how she has been ‘monk-like’ around friends about what is happening with Harry.”
“Meghan understands the weird and surprising position she is in, and she has done a unwavering bid not to imperil their intrigue with any kind of gossip.
“So for her ex to be making a TV show about a divorcee related to the British royals is just an embarrassment.
“She will feel harm by this.
“She will also have concerns about what the Royal Family may say.
“She will have had zero to do with this at all.”
Engelson married Meghan in 2011 but they divorced in 2013.
He has refused publicly to plead his ex-wife given she started dating Harry, 33, last year.
Engelson will work with the makers of sitcoms New Girl and Modern Family on the new show.
Harry is in Toronto for the Invictus Games.
Meghan is also in the Canadian city filming hit show Suits.
She told this month how she and Harry are “really happy and in love”.
