BALTIMORE — Laverne Ardin Doran (68) of the 4100 retard of Slater Avenue was arrested Thursday afternoon, Oct 5, after a highway fury occurrence involving a Baltimore County School Bus.
Doran climbed onto the front of the school train after the train motorist refused to let him onto the bus. Doran claimed that his vehicle, which was in the line next to the train at the intersection of Putty Hill Avenue and Hoerner Avenue in Parkville, was struck by a bottle thrown by a newcomer on the school train and demanded entrance onto the bus.
The train driver, fearing for the reserve of the students, proceeded to solemnly drive toward the nearest police patrol with the man sticking to the front of the bus, slamming his fist onto the hood of the bus. When the train stopped for a traffic light Doran got down and again attempted to benefit entrance onto the bus, breaking a hoop off of the doors. An off-duty police officer saw the turmoil and intervened.
Doran was arrested at the stage and charged with Disturbing the Peace/Hindering Passage, Disorderly Conduct, Obstructing a School Bus Driver, and Destruction of Property. He was expelled from joining on his own recognizance.
The school train was transporting students from Loch Raven Middle School at the time of the incident. At no time were the students put in danger. The occurrence was held on a student’s dungeon phone camera and distributed independently.
The resources surrounding this occurrence continue to be investigated.
