NORMAN, OK — (Scroll Down For Video) — The Norman Police Department responded to a report of an active shooter at 2200 Industrial Boulevard just after 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. Once on-scene, officers located the suspect, after identified as 55-year-old William Ray Adams, with a gunshot wound to the face and neck along with one female, after identified as 32-year-old Colette Wind, with a gunshot wound to the arm. Officers then fast privileged and cumulative the building.
Preliminary information indicates that Adams entered the business located at 2200 Industrial Boulevard wearing a gas facade and attempted to mislay his wife, an employee of the business, from the building against her will. Adams fired one shot distinguished Wind, a colleague of the wife, in the arm. At this time, another colleague attempted to stop Adams and was means to fire the think with his own weapon.
Officers immediately began to yield medical caring at the scene. Both Wind and Adams were ecstatic to OU Medical Center by EMSSTAT.
Wind stays hospitalized in satisfactory condition. Adams also stays hospitalized in good condition.

Once released, Adams will be ecstatic to the Cleveland County Detention Center on complaints of attempted kidnapping, attack and battery with a lethal weapon, feloniously indicating a firearm, possessing a firearm while in the elect of a felony, and attack while masked.
As investigators were estimate the scene, equipment in the suspect’s car led them to trust explosives could presumably be inside the vehicle. As a precaution, the NPD’s Hazardous Devices Unit was activated. The section dynamic that there were several propane tanks in the vehicle, but no explosives were located.
