TUCSON, Ariz. – A Supervisory Border Patrol agent from the Casa Grande Station was assaulted by a 17-year-old male Mexican inhabitant on Thanksgiving Day nearby Vamori, Arizona.
The agent was operative alone when he encountered 3 male Mexican nationals south of Sells, Arizona early that evening. While attempting to catch the group, the teen became combative, forcing the agent to use his peppers mist to finish the arrest.
Both the agent and teen were evaluated at a internal hospital for teenager injuries sustained during the scuffle.
All 3 Mexican men were arrested and processed for immigration violations in suitability with Tucson Sector guidelines. Additionally, the 17-year-old is being prosecuted by Pima County for assault.
