Attempted Murder Suspect Shot Dead By Cops In Tennessee

EAST TENNESSEE — TBI Special Agents are questioning the resources surrounding an officer-involved sharpened that occurred Monday afternoon in Hawkins County.

Officials contend the Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office perceived information that a male thesis wanted on transgression attempted murder warrants out of Dickenson County, Virginia was at a chateau on Okolona Road in Church Hill. Deputies responded to the chateau and speckled the thesis in a automobile in the driveway. Deputies approached the automobile and asked the man to show them his hands. At that point, the thesis reached for a gun. One of the deputies fired shots, distinguished the subject. He was conspicuous passed at the scene. The deputies were not injured.

The think has been identified as Eugene Loftis, 25.
