Chinese child draws £245,000 in donations after pic of solidified ‘icicle’ hair caused by sub-zero school walk goes viral

A YOUNG kid branded Snowflake Boy after being left with icicles in his hair following a three-mile Arctic walk to school has perceived £245,000 in donations.

Well-wishers have rushed to help eight-year-old Wang Fuman after the distressing picture of him with solidified hair went viral on Tuesday.

The youngster was forced to commence a tiresome three-mile, hour-long walk in Arctic conditions in China wearing just a skinny coat.

His hair and eyebrows sprinkled with frost, Wang then had to take an examination in a classroom but heating.

But now the Yunnan Youth Development Foundation suggested it had perceived donations sent in for Wang and his school.

The state-run substructure announced it would conduct the supports on interest of both, together with the internal Zhaotong Youth Development Foundation.

Donations have topped 2,159,100.58 yuan (£245,200) given they asked the open to help Wang and his classmates on Jan 9.

Each child who attends Zhuanshanbao Primary School will now receive 500 yuan (£56).

Although some critics have lifted concerns the gift is handling the income on Wang’s behalf, they contend the campaign is also directed at assisting children like him, Mail Online reports.

Brave Wang became an internet prodigy after he walked to school in -9C weather just so he could lay exams.

The photo, which has left viral on social media, was taken by Fu Heng, headmaster of Zhuanshanbao primary school in Xinjie Township in Ludian County in south-western China’s Yunnan Province.

It showed the red-cheeked schoolboy with a full conduct of white icy hairtaken right after he had stepped into the classroom at the school.

Wang sadly does not live with his kin as they are both operative in incomparable cities to earn aloft wages.

He stays with several siblings and aged kin and is one of tens of millions of “left-behind children” in China.
