THE I’m A Celebrity campamtes have been “fainting” in camp due to lack of food and had to be given Lucozade to keep their energy levels up.
The celebrities have already lost an incredible six stone during their time in the jungle so far.
Speaking during tonight’s Extra Camp, Vanessa White admitted she was so hungry that she could “barely walk” at times.
She also revealed she’s allergic to beans so all she could eat was rice and had to be given protein tablets to keep her going.
Now the jungle’s resident Medic Bob has admitted he’s had to rush into camp when the celebs have had dizzy spells due to hunger.
They’ve eaten well recently but last week the camp endured days of just beans and rice after a number of failed Bushtucker Trials.
Medic Bob told The Mirror: “I mean there’s been a couple, I can’t mention it medically, but there’s been a couple that have had a few dizzy spells and we’ve given them some electrolyte drinks and some glucose.”
However, they’re not given any extra grub, even though they’ve had so little to eat.
He added: “They’re very hungry, really hungry. They’re very hungry at the moment, they haven’t done quite so well at the trials lately.
“If you could see how much rice and beans they get per person, per day, I think you’d be quite shocked. The little bit of rice is quite tiny and the little bit of beans is quite tiny.”
It comes after Shappi Khorsandi revealed she was given secret food packages during her time in camp after eating the meat made her violently sick.
The comedian, who became the first person to be voted out of the jungle, gave up her typically vegan lifestyle in order to fully embrace life in the Outback.
However, after tucking in to the meat given to the camp on the first day, she found herself getting ill soon after eating it.
Speaking after her elimination, Shappi told The Mirror: “The worst thing that happened to me was I thought, ‘Come on, it’s not a religion.’
“So I had meat and I was really, really physically sick, five times in one hour. It was horrible.”
She then added that because of her reaction the production team were forced to step in.
“After that I asked for vegan food and they were very accommodating,” she said. “It was fine.”
